Oh! When is your talent going to stop!! do you have anything that we can read?
Alfred Ng
Hi Maria, Many years ago, when I was still in high school back in Hong Kong I used to submit my humour writing to a weekly Chinese paper. I was surprised they were published and I got paid. It did help to paid for my art supplies then. Since I been in Canada for too long and even I can still read Chinese but I can’t write with it anymore. I wrote more about my trips and events on my flickr account and have more following there. Last year, I wrote a travelogue while in Beijing and posted on FAA, many seemed enjoyed them quite a few members suggested I should put them into a book. It just not enough time to do everything I rather invest more of my time on art making.

I wish you could tell me more of your story, you have this intriguing quietness that i feel absorbs everything and I feel that you have this wonderful picture of growing up. Have you ever done any writing? Do you like to write? I can't stop looking at your Kingfisher, it is like you...I think maybe...the quiet background but still and observant being. Maybe i am wrong to guess, about an avatar artist. Lol!

Maria, Even this painting was done 37 years ago, I still remember that day, I was painting it on the only table we had that time. The table we used for all our family meals. I use that table for all my paintings after school till supper time. That time our family just moved from Hong Kong to Toronto Canada, we lived on the first floor of this old house near Chinatown. I entered my first art school without any formal art training. I was very single minded spent almost all my free time trying to perfecting my skill because I wanted to catch up to my more experience class mates. Now I looking back, I realized how much I had learned and how little I changed. I still possess the same passion, dedication to create art when my former class mates had already gave up long ago.
