Thanks so much Joyce and Susan! This painting actually has a story: there is a house near my studio has a small irises garden and every year when the irses in bloom I will go and take photos.Last year I finally decided to do a painting on this irse. after I finished the painting I made a print of the painting and a note to tell the owner how much enjoyment I got from their garden. Later, a woman (the owner) came to Thank me and told me it was her husband planted and cared for this irses garden but he been since in a long- trem care home. She was very touched I painted her husband's irises. last month I ran into this woman again and she told me she has sold her house and will be moving in a few months..
