Yes, I know in fact they could copy from your image and do the same, I suppose everything is just a slight change from something else, for the most part. A lot of inspiration from this site even must end up as something else, maybe something that makes someone else a packet!! But as artists you have to create anyway so you never really lose.
Alfred Ng replied:
One time an art publisher contacted me and wanted to work with me however their way of work was for me to paint images similar to other artists' works ( copy but use my own style)! I just told them thanks but no thank you.

In england wallpaper has always been popular but in australia, painted walls are preferable but there is a market for feature walls and your designs would look great as feature walls. But, if you've already been there, done that, then.... I know you are a sort after artist, when I said hidden away I meant not as well known as they ought to be...I feel people are missing out by not seeing them. What about on fabric? I know you have done some silk designs, or on ceramics....the list is endless....:))
Alfred Ng replied:
Maria, I had painted over 100 murals for both public buildings and private homes. but after a few years they would be paint over. So art is still something people would keep and its value would increase over time. Both wall covering and fabric design field, often copy from other design. most companies would just copy from popular design and make some slight changes and then call it then own. it just not where what I wanted to take my art to.

really beautiful alfred. please do something with these they are too wonderful to be kept hidden away...i still think you should explore wallpaper....:)))
Alfred Ng replied:
Maria, I showed some of these at an art fair last month and received wonderful responds. they are not hidden away. i have many follow my works outside of FAA. Many years ago, I was interview for a job as a designer for a wall paper company. they don't pay much for free lance artists plus there are different needs for wallpaper design. this might looks good as it but not for a whole wall. Thanks for your idea.
